Welcome to Holy Rosary Parish

A warm welcome to all visiting our website! Holy Rosary is a wonderful parish nestled in the southern end of the Wind River Mountains in beautiful Lander, Wyoming. God’s beauty and goodness are seen all around us, but most especially in the faith and goodwill of our parishioners.

As a parish of the Diocese of Cheyenne, Holy Rosary has served the Catholic community of Lander and surrounding areas for generations. Whether you are a longtime parishioner, a visitor, or someone seeking a spiritual home, we invite you to join us in worship, fellowship, and service.

A Legacy of Faith Since 1882

The history of Holy Rosary Parish is deeply connected to the growth of the Catholic faith in Wyoming. The first Catholic church in Lander was built in 1882, even before Wyoming became a state.

Over the decades, the parish continued to grow alongside the community:

1882 – First Catholic church established in Lander
1966 – Current church building and parish hall completed
1980 – Religious education building completed
Today – Holy Rosary Parish continues to serve the spiritual needs of parishioners throughout the region

Our parish remains committed to preserving the faith, traditions, and community spirit that have shaped Holy Rosary for more than a century.
